Post-flop Defense Ranking Tuning:
- Consider equity vs stronger parts of range on wetter flops and turns (board texture analysis) and vs bigger bets (sizing analysis), and decreased effect of SPR
- Bottom line: The algorithm was tuned “behind the scenes” and doesn’t require any new user input. After tuning, the post-flop defense ranges suggested by EZAnalyzer seem closer to optimal on various test cases.
- Note: The EZAnalyzer post-flop defense ranking feature is intended to be used as a quick approximation to be tweaked by the user, thus saving him time by not having to manually construct these ranges from scratch. The user is advised to review any defense range suggested by the software and see if it needs tweaking, as there might be edge cases where the range suggested by the algorithm is off from optimal.
V0.101 (Jan 15, 2018)

V0.100 (Jan 3, 2018)
- Post-flop Defense Ranking by equity vs. adjusted attack range.
In flop & turn open action spots, equity of each combo in the defense range is auto-adjusted vs stronger parts of the assigned attack range.
Example:
SB opens to 2.5 BB and Hero flats from the BB
Flop: 5♠5♥7♣
Given normal SPR, we will favor defending vs. cbet with hands like 9♦8♦ (two overs + gutshot) and Q♠T♠ (two overs + backdoor), over hands like A♦3♥ (ace high vulnerable SDV) which usually have higher raw equity vs. the assigned cbet range, but defending them would be lower EV.
